"Top Hotel, not expected."

First impressions were a bit off. very busy bar, steep stairs, and no on site parking (although there is parking nearby). The rooms are excellent, all top class fixtures and fittings, bed very comfortable and it retains the period features without most of the downsides. Restaurant was similarly decorated, great staff. This is not a budget hotel but is good value.
